Devotional Guide for the week of September 25th

1.      Read Joshua 5:1-12. Two things happen when the Israelites crossed the Jordan: circumcision and no more manna falling from heaven. How might these two acts force the people of Israel to grow up?

 2.      Journal work: Remember a time when something in your life came to an abrupt end. What did it feel like? What did you learn and how did you change? What were some of the lasting impacts of the ending?

 3.      Read John 6:25-69. Who does Jesus say was the real giver of the manna? What is the major claim Jesus makes? What do people find so offensive about his message that they would no longer follow Jesus?
