Meet Our Staff

Welcoming Reverend Norman Fowler
We soon will have an opportunity to give a warm Westview welcome to our new temporary pastor, the Rev. Norman Fowler. He and his wife, Helen, are in the process of moving to Longmont. He will begin preaching on July 6th.
Pastor Fowler, or Pastor Norman, as he likes to be called, received a Master of Divinity from San Francisco Theological Seminary in 1998, and then received his Doctor of Ministry degree from Fuller Theological Seminary in 2016. Continuing Education in Transitional Ministry, Stephen Leadership, Mediation Skills, and Spiritual Direction are also part of his experience.
From 1998-2005, he was the solo pastor at Community Presbyterian in Lake City, Colorado. Then Rev. Fowler was the solo pastor at First Presbyterian in Moscow, ID from 2005-2024. In service of the greater church, he was active in the Presbytery of the Inland Northwest, and elected moderator. As president of the Board of the Idaho Institute of Christian Education, he supported an ecumenical ministry on the campus of the University of Idaho.
Former members and co-workers from First Presbyterian in Moscow have given us wonderful references for Pastor Norman, saying that he would be sensitive to the grieving process of losing a former pastor, and the challenges of preparing to call a new one. They called him a man who lives his faith and relates well to people of all ages. Mrs. Helen Fowler was also very active and valued in the life of their church.
Come and meet these lovely folks after worship on July 6th, and for a Welcoming Ice Cream Social Reception sponsored by our Deacons in Fellowship Hall after church on July 13th
! Please wear your nametags to help with the get-acquainted process.

Sharon Boeye, Financial Administrator
Sharon is a Texas native, raised in the Methodist faith, and “yes, a preacher’s kid”. Her children Chris, Phillip, and Jennifer, although raised in San Antonio, have all lived in Colorado for most of their adult lives, so in 2015 Sharon finally took the leap and moved here too. In addition to being able to spend more time with her children, she is a more-than-happy fan of Colorado weather. While in San Antonio, Sharon was licensed in the financial industry and worked for 25 years as branch administrator for a large wealth management firm.
Sharon loves being part of Westview Presbyterian Church. She enjoys the opportunity to work with its amazing people and be part of the church’s mission. From day one in May 2018, Westview has felt like home. Away from the office, she is delighted to spend time with her grandson Tristan.
Karin Buer, Music Director
Karin Buer holds a doctorate in piano performance from the University of Northern Colorado. She also earned degrees in music theory (M.M.) and piano performance (M.M., B.M.) from the University of Colorado Boulder and St. Olaf College. She teaches music theory and aural skills at CU Boulder and teaches piano privately from her home in Longmont. Since the age of 15, she has served as a church accompanist at locations in Montana, Idaho, and Colorado, and she is excited to now be part of the Westview community. When she is not performing or teaching, Karin enjoys skiing, hiking, participating in triathlons, and spending time with her husband, Adam, and their daughter, Anika.
