Kids Gather Round

Kids Gather Round is a free, parent/caregiver-led playgroup that seeks to provide an engaging environment for children from birth to age 5 to play, socialize, and (most importantly) have fun! Our play space is equipped with a variety of toys for different developmental stages, craft supplies, and books. We also hope to create a space where parents and caregivers can meet and build community with one another. Kids Gather Round meets on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of the month from 9:30 -11:00 am at Westview Presbyterian Church.

Outreach Ministry Area

The Outreach Ministry Area joyfully seeks and shares God’s love by serving people who have needs in body, mind or spirit.  We encourage and nurture passion to serve humanity and express gratefulness to all who assist with this mission.

Our goals are to:

  • Provide opportunities for service

  • Support those engaged in mission

  • Assist with emergency needs of our neighbors

  • Support wider Presbyterian mission efforts

  • Develop new ministries in response to emerging needs

Spiritual Journeys Ministry Area

The Presbyterian Church (USA) emphasizes the need for education of all the people of God as a primary task of the church. 

Thus, the Mission of Spiritual Journeys Ministry Area at Westview is: to encourage and assist children, youth, and adults to live as Disciples of Christ.

To accomplish this: Spiritual Journeys is committed to developing and supporting educational programs and activities for all ages, which foster the spiritual and individual growth of each individual’s life-long faith journey. 

Bible Study is currently reading ‘Tears of Things’ by Richard Rohr. Meeting at 11:00 am every Sunday.

Worship Ministry Area

The Worship Ministry Area exists to respond to Jesus’ call to glorify and worship God. We seek to create meaningful worship experiences—both in person and on Zoom—through praise, engagement with God’s Word, music, and participation in the sacraments of the Lord’s Supper and Baptism. By incorporating visual elements that reflect scriptural and seasonal themes, this team works alongside the Pastor, the Music Director, and liturgists throughout the liturgical year to support and advance the church’s vision through worship.

Facilities and Administration Ministry Area

FAMA provides management and maintenance of the church campus and business administration for Westview Presbyterian Church. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: determining the appropriate use of church facilities, maintaining buildings and infrastructure, ensuring appropriate safety/security, property/liability insurance, and maintaining the church van.

Gatherings Ministry Area

The mission of the Gatherings Ministry Area is internally focused: to build community among church members and friends of Westview by planning and hosting large and small events throughout the year; and to recruit, assign, and supervise greeters, ushers, and coffee hosts.
