Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth. Worship the Lord with gladness; come into his presence with singing. Psalm 100:1-2

Chancel Choir and Bell Ringers

Since the earliest days of the Church music has provided a wonderful way to praise our Creator and show our gratitude for all the gifts we have been given. “Making a joyful noise” with voices and instruments can take us into God's presence, as well as bring us hope, comfort, and inner peace.

The Chancel Choir regularly offers anthems and leads the congregation in singing during Sunday morning worship. Typically, the anthem is chosen to complement the sermon topic and the theme of the worship service. The choir is an integral part of the worship experience at Westview. Coincident with Westview’s re-opening following the COVID closure, music for Handbell Choir is being incorporated into worship services as well.

All joyful singers are welcome to join the Chancel Choir. The ability to read music is helpful but not required. Choir members work hard to deliver special music each week, and they also support and care for each other. Choir is a small but wonderful group!

Under the leadership of Dr Karin Buer and Kay Daugherty, the choirs rehearse each Wednesday in September through May from 6:30 to 8:00 pm, in the sanctuary, and then again at 8:45 am on Sunday morning before the worship service.
