Devotional Guide for the week of November 20th 2022

Our text this morning is a great thought provoker as we enter into the season of Advent:

1.      Notice Colossians 1:16. What specifically was created through the Christ mystery?

Long before Jesus’ birth, “Christ” was deeply embedded in all things.

 2.      Notice Colossians 1:17 and that all things “hold together” in Christ. In the church we are “functional atheists” when it comes to this verse! Do we believe all things are held together by Christ? Or do we think all things are spinning out of control?

 3.      Through the incarnation of Christ in all things, we could say “God loves all things by uniting with them and becoming them.” Remember that when you hear someone talking about how exclusionary God is.
