Our goal in ministry to children is to help children begin a life-long, joyful relationship with Jesus Christ. We show and teach God's promises through lessons, games, hands-on activities, and a caring and professional staff. Our children’s programs are Scripture-based and are designed specifically to help convey the promises and call of God's new life in Christ.
Of course, safety and trust are our highest priority in ministering to children. All adult volunteers who work with children have successfully passed background checks and have spent time as a part of our membership and worship community before engaging with children. We want to make sure the kids at Westview get the very best!
For additional questions about Westview’s children’s programs, please contact the church office by email or by phone (303.776.3242). Our events calendar page contains upcoming dates for events detailed below.
During Sunday Worship children can come to wonder about and relate God's Word to their personal lives by learning stories from the Bible and being encouraged to enter into them. Offered during the sermon and prayer time of our Sunday worship service for children ages 3 years old through 5th grade. See "Nursery Care" section below for services provided for children under 3 years old.
We are taking a break from our Westview Kids program during the summer. We will resume in the fall. All children are welcome and encouraged to stay with us in worship!
Parent's Night Out
Parents are more than welcome and encouraged to keep children in worship. We understand, though, that children (and parents) have different needs on different days. An Infant Quiet Room, where you can watch and hear the service from a quieter, more private location is located just off the sanctuary and is available for infants and their families in the event you want to use it.
A staffed nursery for children up to 3 years old is located in the south unit of the campus (across the courtyard from the sanctuary) during worship. We ask that parents accompany their child to the nursery and sign them in/out when dropping them off/picking them up.
For every child's safety, we ask that parents stay with their child at all times when they are not signed in to the nursery or at Westview Kids.
